Since there are no pre-installed Hard Drives you are free to configure storage to your needs. The DL740 features an 8x24 (max. speeds) slimline CD/DVD-ROM drive in the Universal Media Bay a 3.5 1.44MB floppy drive four hot-plug Hard Drive bays (maximum internal storage capacity of 587.2GB) and six available PCI-X hot-plug slots.
